Any excess electricity generated is sold back to the national grid for more than you are charged for it. It will produce electricity and earn you money whilst you are at work or on holiday. The government has introduced the feed in tariff, which now means you will get paid for any power you produce from April 2010.
Our PV system is grid connected which means electricity does not have to be stored in batteries which have a limited lifespan. This means that any power not used in your home is immediately sold back to your power company.
